Where it started

Brady’s career began at Paramount Pictures in Human Resources Information Systems. That’s where he found the thread that runs through everything since: using data to understand people. He went on to study Computer Science at the University of South Carolina.

He then joined Gaylord Entertainment in Nashville as a marketing analyst. Gaylord, now Ryman Hospitality Properties, is the company behind the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium and the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. Brady profiled millions of customers across country music’s core audience, and his segmentation guided retention strategy for the company’s hotels, convention centers and entertainment venues. It was marketing at scale, measured by what customers actually did rather than by impressions, and that has shaped how he approaches every engagement since.

Building the agency

After several years at Gaylord, Brady went independent, helping musicians and bands build their brands and their presence online. The projects kept growing in size and ambition, and in 2006 he founded Brady Mills Agency. Over two decades, the agency’s clients have included Bank of New York, GAIN Capital and Segpay, alongside startups, small businesses and professional firms.

Technical depth

Brady’s background in computer science and development shapes how the agency works. He previously passed Codeable’s developer vetting, a process that accepts roughly the top 2% of WordPress developers who apply. He has also founded several technology and financial companies, including AgeWallet, HubbleCRM and Standout Commercial Loans. That depth is why the agency’s recommendations come with a plan to build them, not just a report.

Giving back

Brady shares what he’s learned with other business owners, including through speaking engagements with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tennessee Pride Chamber and the OUT Georgia Business Alliance.

Tell us about your project

What you are building, what it has to connect to, and what it has to do. The more you tell us up front, the more useful the first conversation is.
